Shirley Siaton-Parabia is an award-winning author in English, Filipino and Hiligaynon. She is a literary and journalism honors recipient of the Stevan Javellana Foundation, Philippine Information Agency, and West Visayas State University. Her essays, fiction and poetry have been published in The Philippine Star, Panay News, Daily Informer, MOD Magazine and Glitter Magazine. Her plays have been staged at the University of the Philippines-Visayas.

Based in Muscat with her family, Shirley is a black belt in Shotokan Karate, an international certified fitness coach, and an avid powerlifter.
